Watch: Hidden Depths: Water as a Resource and a Weapon. CSIS
Water is essential to global society, for everything from drinking and growing food to producing energy and cultural practices. 40 percent of the world’s workforce works in sectors that rely on water, and water counts for $58 trillion in global economic output each year. But while the industrialized world can take water access for granted, water resources around the world are increasingly under stress. Billions of people lack access to safely managed sanitation systems and drinking water, and as this critical resource grows increasingly scarce, it is becoming a trigger for, weapon in, and casualty of global conflicts.

TravelTuesday: Washington Memorial Chapel
Washington Memorial Chapel — located on Pennsylvania Route 23 in Valley Forge National Historical Park — is both a national memorial dedicated to General George Washington and an active Episcopal parish in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. The church was inspired by a sermon preached by Anglican minister Reverend Dr. W. Herbert Burk, founder and first rector of the parish. The building was designed by architect Milton B. Medary. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 1, 2017, and is undergoing an active restoration campaign. From Wikipedia.
During the 1973 Yom Kippur/Ramadan War both the Soviets and US forces were put on a heighten alert. I decided to skip school and hitch-hiked to Washington Chapel to spend the day praying for peace. I believe(ed) that there is no better place to pray for peace than at the memorial for fallen soldiers.

Handout How I see myself
I have used this handout with folks in early recovery from substance use disorder, in mixed DX groups, in mens groups and in mixed genders groups. Although I prefer process oriented groups sometimes people just don’t want to talk and if I don’t want to use any of the other props or prompts in my Weavers Way bag then I put out a handout … like the one below. Sometimes I have them write on the back how others see them both positive and negative.
